Ich gebe hier mal ein Copy-Paste eines RG Kollegen weiter, kam gerade über den int. RG500 Mailverteiler:
Hi,
You may remember I had a seizure on my RG and was looking for standard size rings a while back. The good
news is I now have my bike back together and it seems to be running well. Many thanks especially to Davy Rae
and others on the list who provided advice. It ended up only requiring a hone, one piston and a set of rings.
There was some discussion on whether rings were available seperately. I found genuine Suzuki rings were
available seperately from Classic Motorcycle Spares - Netherlands (CMSNL) for about 30 euro a cylinder. But be
careful ordering from this company.
They have a good web site but when I used their "freight calculator" to work out postage it came up with a strange
amount. I therefore ordered the rings subject to them confirming the postage amount with me. They replied saying
they could not check the postage as the parts were not in stock, but they were expected next week. I never heard
any further until I got their invoice and the parts were on there way.
They had charged me 44 euro postage for a set of rings!!
When the rings arrived they were in a box at least 50 times bigger than it needed to be. If they had contacted me
before sending this I could have put a lot of other much larger parts I need in the same box - and they would have
made more sales instead of pissing a customer off!
After getting the fob off when I initially complained about the lack of response and excessive postage, I finally made
a formal complaint to the Director Michael Buttinger. All I got from him was abuse saying I did not read the web
site!!
The rings are fine though and CMSNL seem to have lots of RG stuff so I thought others on the list might like to
hear my experiences and take them into account when dealing with CMSNL
